Ravenbound features a fast pact action combat system and a roguelite progression system where you defeat enemies to gain fragments which then allow you to draw cards that you can play to gain weapons, armor, relics or permanently increase your power.ĭeath in Ravenbound is all part of the process and whilst this is a permadeath game, at the end of a run you unlock new cards, weapons and passive traits that could potentially make your next run a bit easier. In this game you control a vessel who’s mission is to free the imprisoned gods and restore order to the Island of Avalt by defeating various bosses.
